The Miracle of San Romualdo

Oil painting on canvas with carved and gilded frame. The theme of the painting depicts the Miracle of Saint Romuald. He was so close to the Holy Spirit that he received the gift of clairvoyance. A beech tree that was hanging badly over the hermitage of Camaldoli, threatening to destroy it, was cut down and against all odds miraculously fell on the opposite side, without causing any damage to the building.
