DURANTI GIORGIO. 1683 - 1755.
DURANTI GIORGIO. 1683 - 1755.
Oil on canvas depicting farmyard animals, of Lombard origin, dating from the 18th century. The canvas can be attributed to Giorgio Duranti, an 18th-century painter from Brescia. The world depicted in Giorgio Duranti's paintings is very small, made up of birds, hens, chicks, and birds in general, carefully observed and represented in a calculated elegant attitude, with no additions, no scenery other than a few sketchy wooded backgrounds, with a pre-Romantic flavour.
