Pair of solid walnut cabinets of Italian provenance from theDirectory period.The period of the Directory was short (1789 - 1804) but very intense and fraught with change. The profound social and political unrest that marked it had a direct impact on furniture production. The Directory of the Directory appeared shortly before the Revolution, by Georges Jacobs, supplier to the royal family.

The bedside table(the somno), with its characteristic cylindrical shape, is the inspiration for our column holders. They are entirely fluted on an octagonal base. It has a full-round door with shelves inside.
