Brescian canterano from the 17th century

Canterano in olive, walnut and fruit wood, of Brescian provenance dating from the 17th century.

The front has three overlapping drawers thickly inlaid with plant motifs with ornithological figures, just as the top centrally has the figure of a peasant woman lying with a basket at her side.

The sides, also inlaid, have a central ornament depicting a basket with flowers.

The whole rests on ferine paw supports with a fine acanthus leaf carving.
