Pair of shaped panels 18th century

A pair of shaped panels in coniferous wood, painted in polychrome and adorned with angels holding flower garlands, is an example of 18th century Lombard art. The panels are characterised by their soft shapes and well-delineated faces, typical of that century, with residual traces of the Baroque style. The arrangement of the faces suggests that they were originally placed in an elevated position in relation to the observers. The wood shows signs of time, in particular cracks caused by natural movement.
