Angel marble polychrome

Botticino marble putto, polychrome, of Lombard origin, Brescia area, dating from the 17th century.

The art of painting on stone saw its peak especially in Florence, Rome, Brescia and Verona between the 16th and 17th centuries.

Our sculpture, as well as others in some churches in Brescia and its province, are influenced by the monumental art of the master Gasparo Cairano.
