Bronze group in the round signed and entitled 'Imponderable Forces' by Maria Allaro aka Marianne Hastianatte.

Sculptor painter and artist Marianne Hastianatte, was able to transform marble and wood into works reflecting a personal journey. Born in Calabria to an Arab father and a Spanish mother, she chose Zoagli as her home for the last 40 years of her life. Her sculptures, realised in a modern language, retain something very ancient in them, recalling the gesture of primordial man who intended to trace on stone the sign of his presence, the testimony of his consciousness of existence. These works communicate a message through their formed values, going beyond the simple narrative form.

Hastianatte has created evocative abstract compositions of the human body and structures involving the surrounding space. Some of his works include "Imponderable Forces," "Idyllic Horse," "Horse Head," and "Two-Faced Space Remote." These sculptures conceal an unsettling enigma and seem to set the stage for further symbolic works such as "Queen Bee," "Multiform Quadrifrons," and "Quadrifrons Caryatid."
