Antique Neapolitan Nativity Scene

Antique Neapolitan crib in a case with baptistery-blown glass with a mahogany cusped roof with ribbon inlays running along the entire profile. The front on the edges bears an all-round pilaster decoration with geometrically patterned finials in the form of a stylised ebonised vase. Above the centre is a gilded cartouche with symbols of passion. The characters inside are made of wood, terracotta and wax, embellished with skilfully made period clothing.
